Which nutrients matter for muscle and gym performance?
Vitamin D has a direct role in normal muscle function and bone health. A deficient athlete has something worth correcting; taking increasingly high doses once status is adequate is not a substitute for progressive training.
Iron, B12 and folate support normal red-blood-cell production and oxygen transport.
