Bulk's signature Black Friday move is the big sack, and its size ladder has been consistent: in both years we traced on Bulk's own site, every step up in bag size lowered the price per kilo.

The catch is time. At one 30g scoop a day, 5kg lasts about five and a half months: start it on Black Friday and you are still scooping well into May. That suits a daily shake drinker with cupboard space and a flavour they will not tire of. If you rarely finish a 1kg bag, the sack is £80 tied up in powder, so check the best-before date and be honest about your habits.

Across the three sales we traced, the 5kg sack's sale price rose each time, from £63.49 to £79.99, even as its discount badge grew.

Across all nine Pure Whey offers we found on Bulk's own site, discounts ran from 48% to 62% and averaged 56%. A bigger percentage is not the same as a better price; the evidence guide shows the same effect on the 1kg bag. The 2024 price was reported five days before Black Friday, so it may have moved later that week.

Bulk's whey also turns up on Amazon. Amazon's advertised discounts on 1kg Pure Whey have ranged from 15% to 51%, against 48% to 62% on Bulk's own site.

When this year's sale starts, check both, and check again on Cyber Monday. Compare delivered totals for the same flavour and size.

Bulk's 27 November 2025 email offered an extra 10% off and a gift on orders of £55 or more, with the code BULKFRI. On a basket already over £55, that is a genuine bonus. On a smaller one, it can raise the bill: a £40 order topped up to £55 costs £49.50 after the discount, £9.50 more than you meant to spend.

The top-up only makes sense if it is something you would have bought within weeks anyway, such as a creatine refill. If it is a flavour you are only trying because it unlocked a gift, that £9.50 is really the price of the gift.

The same campaign offered a £10 voucher for a later order, after spending at least £50 following discounts, for customers signed up to marketing emails. It is easy to read that as £10 off. It is not: today's bill stays the same, and the £10 only becomes real if you place another qualifying order.

If you restock with Bulk every month or two, count it. If you buy twice a year, check its expiry against when you will next need protein before letting it influence today's order.

Bulk tends to move before the day itself. Its 2024 sale was already being reported on 24 November, five days before Black Friday, with 1kg of creatine at £27.89 and Dope pre-workout at £19.99, no code needed. In 2025, the extra code lasted just two days.

If creatine or pre-workout is already part of your routine, these make sensible additions to a whey order you are placing anyway. Bulk's 1kg creatine was already £24.99 in our catalogue on 4 October 2026, below its Bulk Friday 2024 price, so it is worth checking before assuming November will be cheaper. The creatine guide shows how to compare tubs fairly.

Bulk's past Pure Whey discounts averaged 56%. Applied to the 5kg sack's last recorded price of £129.99, that would mean about £57.20.

That is the optimistic end. The price was recorded on 19 July 2026 and was already a sale price, and in the Black Fridays we traced the sack actually sold for £63.49 to £79.99. Check Bulk's comparison table for the latest price before deciding.

The Black Friday price is not always the lowest you can pay. Before checking out, run through these five.

1. 1

Voucher codes. Bulk often runs a sitewide code alongside its sale prices, and some, like the £55 threshold above, only pay off on bigger baskets. Try each code you find and keep the one that gives the lowest total with delivery.

2. 2

Discounts for who you are. Student Beans lists an extra 10% for students on orders over £30, and Blue Light Card lists 5% off for verified members, which it says stacks with sale prices on orders over £30. Exclusions apply, so check the basket total.

3. 3

A different retailer. Bulk's whey also sells on Amazon, though in Black Friday week 2023 the same 1kg bag cost more there than on Bulk's own site. It is still worth checking both. Our Bulk comparison and product pages show Amazon and eBay listings where we track them.

4. 4

Clearance and short-dated stock. Clearance and short-dated stock can undercut a Black Friday code. Our sales page tracks clearance deals; check the best-before date before you buy.

5. 5

Subscriptions. If the Bulk product you want has Subscribe & Save on Amazon, compare that delivered total with Bulk's one-off sale price. Match the repeat delivery interval to how quickly you finish the bag; a cheaper first order is less useful if the next arrives before you need it.

Black Friday is 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. This year's offers have not been announced, but given past timing, start checking Bulk from the weekend before. Have your Pure Whey flavour and bag size chosen, note today's delivered price in Bulk's comparison table, and compare Myprotein and The Protein Works on the same basis.
