Are Black Friday Protein Deals Really Cheaper? What the Evidence Shows

In 2023, Which? published a finding that deserves a place on every Black Friday banner. It tracked 208 discounted products from Black Friday 2022 at eight retailers, including Amazon, Argos and Boots. 98% were the same price or cheaper at some point in the six months before or after. Only five were at their lowest price on the day itself.

There is a catch, and it matters here: the study covered tech, home and personal care, not protein powder. Nobody has published an equivalent study for supplements. So the honest answer to this article's question is that nobody knows how often protein is cheapest on Black Friday. What we can do is look at the protein offers that were documented, and see what their discount badges actually told shoppers.
