The verdict
The chewy chocolate centre and layered structure are satisfying, but the flavour falls short of its Triple Chocolate promise. We both liked parts of the texture, while the noticeable protein-powder character—especially the lingering aftertaste for her—held it back.
The chewy layered texture is its strongest feature; it is less convincing if rich chocolate flavour and a clean finish are your priorities.
His review and her review

His review
The thick chocolate centre gives it a satisfying, Boost-like structure, but the flavour never becomes as rich or complete as the Triple Chocolate name suggests. A powdery protein-bar character remains noticeable throughout.
- +Chocolatey enough to be enjoyable
- +Likes the thick, filled structure
- +The chewy texture works better than the flavour
- −The chocolate flavour lacks the depth promised by the name
- −A powdery protein-bar texture and taste remain obvious

Her review
The chocolate coating and chewy centre are pleasant, and the bar does taste recognisably chocolatey. The problem is the lingering protein-powder aftertaste, which makes it difficult to want another one despite liking the texture.
- +Likes the chocolate coating and chewy layered centre
- +The basic chocolate flavour is not unpleasant
- −A lingering protein-powder aftertaste spoils the finish
- −Would not choose to come back to it

Good bars
5/5These are probably the best tasting protein bars I’ve tried. I got the variety box to try them all before ordering individual flavours. The birthday cake one did taste very artificial. I have a sweet tooth so thought this would be my favourite, but I had to force myself to eat these ones. All the other flavours are good. Not much of an aftertaste like you often get with bars. The macros are great - the fibre content is great for a protein bar. I’ll use these as a quick lunch when I’m being lazy and they’re surprisingly filling.

5/5Birthday cake flavour absolutely bangs! Tastes really nice with a sweet hit of sugary jam this is now a firm favorite in the rotation
