Vilgain Organic Jasmine Rice - soft and fluffy rice processed by a family company in Italy
Vilgain Organic Jasmine Rice is a long‑grain husked rice with a typical aroma reminiscent of blossoming flowers and nuts. Compared to basmati, it is more fluffy, soft and sticky after cooking and thus suitable for eating with chopsticks. It provides a great flavour balance to spicy and savoury dishes. It is most commonly used in Thai cuisine, but can also be enjoyed in pickles, risottos, salads or as a side dish with meat.
It is grown using traditional oriental methods in the high mountain areas of northern Thailand. It is then processed and packaged by a small family‑run company in Italy that prides itself on the quality and traceability of its ingredients.
