Vilgain Hibiscus Tea is made from the leaves of Sudanese hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) grown in Egypt, which is also where its name Karkade comes from. The red hibiscus flowers are hand‑picked, then cleaned and sun‑dried. Egyptian hibiscus tea is generally characterized by its more intense color and flavor.

Delicately sour taste

The flavor profile of hibiscus tea is reminiscent of cranberries, often with a hint of forest berries. It is best enjoyed sweetened with sugar, honey, mint, or citrus, which softens its tartness. This makes it ideal as a summer refreshment on hot days.
