What is L-lysine?

What are essential amino acids?

Amino acids occur naturally in protein, which helps to build and repair new muscle.1 There are 20 different amino acids, with only nine classed as essential as they can’t be made by the body.

The nine essential amino acids we must get from our diet are histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
